  Great position overlooking the beach and therefore popular with families. Food is average and some of the bar staff have things in their minds other than the customers. Toilets have no hand soap. Open year round which is handy. Dog friendly.

  They served us drinks and gave us menus at the bar, but when we returned to order food (with usual long wait at bar), told us that the kitchen was too busy to accept anymore orders!...Not close to closing time they just flat out stopped serving. Seeing as we had already had a drink, we were then stranded and couldn't get any dinner as nowhere else local, explained this to staff and they didn't care. Would be one star but we ate here before and food was simple, good pub standard.

  Went for carvery today. Jazz band playing so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone have a conversation. Ate and left as soon as we could. Vegetables were done beautifully, but the beef was so pink we couldn't eat it. Shame really as we have always liked going there, but won't be going back in a hurry.
